project manager
Full-time | Sydney NSW
Cubit Projects is looking for a Project Manager to join our team and help coordinate the delivery of hospitality, retail and commercial interior projects.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage competing priorities, communicate clearly and work collaboratively with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
About uS
Cubit Projects is a design and construction company specialising in hospitality, retail and commercial interiors.
Bringing design, project management and construction together allows our team to consider how a project will be delivered from the outset. We work collaboratively to resolve challenges, coordinate the details and carry the design intent through to the completed space.
For us, good work means solving the problem to the best of our ability, given the information, time and constraints available.
The opportunity
As Project Manager, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Working closely with Cubit’s directors and design team, you will manage communication between the different people involved in each project and help keep the works aligned with the agreed scope, programme, budget and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and coordinating commercial interior fit-out projects
Reviewing project documentation, scopes and tender information
Assisting with procurement, contractor engagement and project scheduling
Coordinating clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
Monitoring project scope, programme, cost and quality
Managing RFIs, approvals, variations and project records
Attending project meetings and site inspections
Identifying project risks and resolving issues proactively
Supporting construction delivery, handover and defects closeout
Maintaining clear and accurate written communication throughout each project
About You
You are organised, practical and comfortable taking responsibility for moving projects forward. You communicate clearly, follow up consistently and understand the importance of confirming decisions in writing.
You enjoy working as part of a small team and can balance the needs of the client, design, construction, programme and budget when making decisions.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Previous experience in project management, construction or commercial fit-out
Experience coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
A practical understanding of construction documentation and project delivery
Strong organisation, time management and problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Confidence managing priorities in a fast-moving environment
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping
Competency with common project management and Microsoft Office applications
A current Australian driver licence
Australian working rights
